Trump’s digital team reportedly planning to build its own digital strategy
Trump’s Digital Strategy Team is reportedly planning on building its own Digital Strategy team, according to Politico.
Trump has reportedly been considering a digital team for the past few weeks.
Trump’s team reportedly wants to hire an analytics specialist to help them determine what’s working and what isn’t, Politico reported.
The team would be tasked with developing strategies and executing on them, the report said.
Trump also reportedly has been looking for an analytics consultant for his digital team.
In the past, the president’s team has reportedly hired outside digital consultants to help the White House with its digital operations, including in the past.
However, the Politico report indicated that the digital team could be more involved with their own digital operations than previous digital teams.
“This is the first time that anyone with any knowledge of the digital strategy team has publicly said it is looking to build a team,” the report read.
“The report said that the team is looking for a new chief digital officer, and it is unclear whether they have hired a new digital strategist.”
The president’s digital strategy is currently led by chief digital strategist Josh Pitcock.
Pitcock previously served as Trump’s deputy chief of staff and chief digital strategy officer, according the Politico story.
Pitlock is the former director of digital for the Office of Presidential Personnel and a former senior adviser to former Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan.
Pitock was also the director of political strategy at the White Houses political action committee, which was dissolved in February.
In 2018, the AP reported that the president had asked Pitcock to help him “deconstruct the traditional campaign,” which he said he was doing “very well.”
The AP reported Pitcock said that he “loves” Trump and wants to help Trump “decapitate the conventional campaign.”
Pitlock also told the AP that he is “really excited” about the president being president, according an account published by Politico.
Pit lock also said that his goal is to make Trump “feel like he’s part of the team” and not part of a team of outsiders.
Trump told Politico that he has been trying to get more involved in the digital process for several months.
Trump, who has long maintained that he does not use the social media platform Twitter, also said in a May 2016 interview that he was “doing a lot of tweeting” and that he wasn’t sure if he would use it again.
“I’m trying to figure out, ‘Why not?
Why do I keep tweeting?'” he said.
“And the answer is: It’s easier.
And the answer’s: You know what?
I’m doing a lot more tweeting, a lot better tweeting, and a lot less tweeting.”
